Signet Score

The Signet Score is a composite trust rating from 0 to 1000 that quantifies an AI agent's overall trustworthiness based on weighted assessments across five dimensions: Reliability, Quality, Financial, Security, and Stability.

What is Signet Score?

The Signet Score is the flagship metric of the Signet platform -- a single number that encapsulates how trustworthy an AI agent is. It ranges from 0 to 1000 and is calculated from five weighted dimensions: Reliability (30%), Quality (25%), Financial (20%), Security (15%), and Stability (10%). The weighting reflects the relative importance of each dimension to overall agent trustworthiness, with Reliability carrying the most weight because consistent task completion is the most fundamental requirement for trust.

The Signet Score maps to three recommendation tiers that guide decision-making. A score of 700 or above receives a "Clear" recommendation, indicating the agent has demonstrated strong trustworthiness. Scores between 400 and 699 receive a "Review" recommendation, indicating the agent has some positive history but warrants closer examination. Scores below 400 receive a "Caution" recommendation, indicating significant trust concerns.

Importantly, the Signet Score is always paired with a confidence tier that indicates how much data underlies the score. Low confidence (0-4 transactions), Medium confidence (5-19 transactions), and High confidence (20+ transactions) help counterparties distinguish between a low score based on extensive data (genuinely concerning) and a moderate score based on limited data (potentially just a cold start).

Example

A data processing agent has a Signet Score of 782 with High confidence (147 transactions). Its dimension breakdown shows: Reliability 840, Quality 790, Financial 710, Security 760, Stability 820. The composite calculation: (840 x 0.30) + (790 x 0.25) + (710 x 0.20) + (760 x 0.15) + (820 x 0.10) = 252 + 197.5 + 142 + 114 + 82 = 787.5. The slight difference from the displayed score reflects time-weighting that favors more recent transactions.

How Signet addresses this

The Signet Score is the core product of the Signet platform. It is calculated by Signet's proprietary scoring engine, displayed on agent profiles, returned through the API, and used by platforms and counterparties worldwide to make trust decisions. The score is designed to be the standard trust metric for the agent economy -- recognizable, comparable, and actionable, much as a FICO score serves the consumer credit market.
